Unique S/F Crimping Applicator

The Unique S/F is AMT’s flagship side-feed crimping applicator, engineered for production environments that demand rapid tooling changes without sacrificing crimp consistency. At 5.5 kg, it is the most robust unit in our mechanical applicator range, built to absorb the repetitive forces of high-volume crimping with minimal vibration and wear.

What sets the Unique S/F apart is its quick-change crimper set mechanism. Production lines running multiple terminal types can swap tooling in minutes rather than hours, reducing changeover downtime significantly. The adjustable crimp load allows operators to fine-tune compression on both conductor and insulation barrels independently — critical for meeting crimp height specifications across different wire gauges and terminal materials.

With a shut height of 155 mm and a stroke range of 30-40 mm, the Unique S/F accommodates a wide variety of terminal-to-wire combinations used in automotive wiring harnesses, home appliance cables, and industrial control panels. The side-feed design pulls terminals from the strip laterally, making it the preferred choice for standard crimp-and-strip machine setups where terminal reels feed from the side.
